I figure we needed this since we all have our redneck moments. By redneck I mean someone who unknowingly has an absence of knowledge or sophistication or both. Since I'm starting the thread I guess I should start with my redneck moment of the day. I was reading someone's thread about starting a vegetable garden and she was going to blog about it. She post a link to her vlog. I thought vlog stood for vegetable gardening blog (clever, but wrong). No, vlog is a video blog!

Redneck moment of the day is when I am getting ready to go somewhere, I am searching for my phone! I just had it! What the heck! I didn't go that far! Well I cannot go with out it. And when it rings it vibrates and feels funny on my belly because it was in my hoodie pocket. Or I go to call my friend and everytime I go to call her my house phone rings, so I go to answer the phone and it stops... I'm an idiot! I was calling my house phone!

ROFL! Remember when your Mom used to clip your mittens onto your winter jacket? I need that for my phone, keys, glasses.....
You got fancy on me Garret. I had to look up Nandina. It doesn't grow around here (too cold). Sounds like its a good thing it doesn't!

Ah, and yet another techno-geek redneck moment for me. The (ex)husband asked me if I knew what a vine was. Can you see my eye brow go up? I garden. I know what a vine is, but somehow I don't think that's what he's referring to. "No, what is it," I said. Its a video ap for your phone. Here's the official definition: "Vine is the best way to see and share life in motion. Create short, beautiful, looping videos in a simple and fun way for your friends and family to see." You learn something new everyday (regardless of whether you want to).
My niece had posted something on Vine.

Wow Gardencrazy I may have to look that up! I love techno stuff like that!
I like it when I make sure my phone is charged I have everything setting right handy where I can get it, practically have to trip over so I don't forget it. And what do I do? yup I forget it! Or lets see last year I was in NC I bought this really nice Box for my grandson it had hidden compartments in it. so ok I get it home and put it away for xmas. I have not been able to find it since! I frustrate myself so bad!

I went to the store the other day and my car wouldn't start. About 45 mins later it started, Went to another store, it wouldn't start when I went to leave. 1/2 hr later yay! It started. Told hubbs I'd have to take it to the dealer to get that fixed! Them my son in law came over and took my keys and opened the thingy and said you need new batteries. Dhope! Well who'd of thunk it??

Yea so much for that! I changed the batterie in the key and now that key not only will it not start the car but the windows won't go up or down with it! Still starting every now and then. Came home the other night. Hopped in the jeep and it started. Yesterday I tried all day and it wouldn't start. Hubbs said it was the Anti theft system it has to set a while before it will start. I said that makes no sense because when I was at the store I kept trying and finally it started. Well he went out there turned the key and it didn't start so he was thinking on what to do and then left the key in starting position and bam it started. So we took it to our guy! Lets hope it won't take long for him to figure it out!

I figured I throw this one out there. Two Saturdays ago I'm hanging the new dining room light the wife just bought, when the doorbell rings. I look acroos the room and there's a young fella about 16 years old outside the front door I've never seen before. I answer the door and in a slightly south o' the border accent, he asks if he can gather his goats outta my yard. I say "huh?" and he tells me his goats got out and are now in my back yard. I do a quick 180 and look out the back door. Sure enough, there's about a dozen goats eatin' the grass. The wife takes a look and says "ask him if they can stay for the day so I won't have to do the weed whackin"

So Red what have you been up to? Got your garden started?? Not sure I'm going to start one. We are buying that ten acres and it needs alot of work so we might not have enuf time to have a garden. There is a Mkt not far from us. It's in a guys barn "Steves Mkt" He sells all Organic stuff, Pretty cheap also. Only Open during growing season. We go there and get our canning tomatoes and stuff. It's easy and cheap. Since I have Celiac I have not had energy!! Zip zilch nadda. I also have been DX'd with Fibro and R.A. All of witch zaps a person of energy. Low on Folic Acid ...

Was walking last week and a car driving by lost its hubcap. The car didn't come back for it. I'd have thrown it in reverse right there!
