TY Coljd, I tried to find Dr Hamilton's book in our local library system but no luck. I have found it as a free download online. I'll work away at it.

I was able to first find the book through our library and then liked it so much, that I bought a copy and even bought a copy for my daughter for Christmas. Here is his website: drdavidhamilton.com/. He is Scottish and began his work as an Organic Chemist, worked for a pharmaceutical company and part of their research was comparing how the placebos were as effective, sometime more so, then a drug. Then he got the idea that it was the mind helping the body heal and that is how he started. Fascinating information! Here is the other one I was trying to think of, he does similar work to David Hamilton and I plan to get this one and read it too: www.hayhouse.com/details.php?id=5935

There is a PDR for Herbs and, if you get a new drug handbook, many herbs are listed in the contraindications or interactions sections of the drugs. (This is helpful if you take a medication and you want to see if any herbs will interfere with its actions.)
