Hello everyone! Haven't posted in a while. After a little snow yesterday, old man winter is finally losing his foothold in the north! I went to Lowes today and for the first time every, I saw hardy kiwis there. I bought them on a whim! I'm clueless as to how to grow them. All I know is that I like eating kiwis. Any tips on growing them?

Thanks! I should have mentioned that I did buy one male & one female. I did read yesterday that hardy kiwis are actually a different plant from kiwis. The fruit tends to be smaller, not fuzzy but you can eat them whole, skin and all. I also read that they are a vine and need to be staked. They also should be planted 10 feet apart. I got the info from Cornell Cooperative Extension's website.

Word of warning, they will cover anything, trees, light poles, fences, homes that they grow near! They can grow 20 feet in a year.

All kiwi are viny er vine-ish. Its kept me off of them, as I got other fish to trellis. Hops sing in the choir off of this viney page too.
