Well, just to the north of already had a frost warning! The past couple days have not been warm. I'm afraid summer is behind us here in New York State.
I just got done planting daffodils, hyacinths, grape hyacinths and a few irises. I know Ice Follies was one of the daffodils and Dangerous Mood was one of the irises. Most of the daffodils and all of the hyacinths were mixed bag type. I'll be thrilled to see them in the spring. I have about 10 feet of them near the house, lining the deck and 40 feet of them lining the garden. Now I need to run to the store and buy more bark mulch.
Happy fall gardening everyone!

Daffys, hyacinths & grape hyacinths are putting on a good show right now. Later on this summer, I'm going to have some drainage work done in the yard which will help prevent one of my flower beds from flooding every time we get a hard rain (it didn't used to do that - new development last year). Not exciting stuff, but I'm sure the plants will be happier (not to mention my cellar and driveway!). Despite the flooding, the daffys are putting on a good show!
