Most years there is a hundred people milling around here for thanksgiving and yule. This year, not so much, So a simpler menu:
Ticken (semi-boneless turkey and chicken) with wild and brown rice stuffing. Turkey gravy
Mashed potato and rutabaga
Broccoli and cauliflower in cheesey sauce.
Cranberry sauce (own)
Dinner rolls (boughten)
Coconut cream pie
Cherry pie (boughten)
A 13 pound turkey and a 5 pound capon should make this all too too much food for 5 people.

Probably not much.We had our big reunion sunday so the sisters will probably go to their inlays for TGD. Because of this Mom isn't going to make dressing. I told her that's fineI'll just boil some rice and make some giblet gravy. For the reunion she and I made: molasses cookies, orange marmalade thumbprint cookies, orange chocolate chip lace cookies, and sweet potato muffins. There are probably left over cookies or I'll make the orange dark chocolate chip lace cookies again.

Just hubby and I this year but the smallest turkey I found on sale was still almost 12 pounds. That's ok, we enjoy leftover turkey. We'll be having stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn (frozen homegrown), cranberry sauce, and for dessert apple pie and sweet potato pie. I'm getting hungry.

A New England dinner is in the menu in my home. The roast with the vegetables, all but the mushrooms and the beef from the garden. Fresh salad from the garden. Hickory nut pie with the nuts from the neighbors tree.
Many happy returns to you! May you feast be plentiful!

Chopped turkey spaghetti tonight. A can of pasta sauce, fresh green pepper from the garden, Tom again, a few spices. will probably serve it over brown rice. We were going to have liver and onions but it hasn't defrosted yet.
