I'll be glad when this is all over. My head hurts from all the Italians driving up and down Main St honking their horns every Italy wins a game.... Well here's hoping that they wont be "honking" after tomorrow's game against Germany

Portugal-Spain ended with a draw 0:0 (even after prolongation), so now everything will be (or is already, have to check) decided by penalties.

Spain won 4:2 after penalties, so Sunday's final can still be a match between Germany and Spain, considered a "dream final" by many.

With Italy (which qualified after a draw with England by being better in penalties) up with two goals and just a couple of minutes to go, it looks like they will win over Germany, which qualified with a "clean" win over Greece in their quarterfinal, so the final on Sunday in Kyiv will be between Spain and Italy, and I guess there will be a lot of honking.

The final tomorrow in Kyiv between Spain and Italy is between the same countries (and at least in part teams) as the very first match in group C on 10 June, which ended as a draw 1:1. This time there has to be a "winner", and the defending champions from Spain are weak favourites against a young Italian team.

Now Spain is European Champion again after defeating Italy in the final, and no one can say what will be in the future.

Well here's hoping that they wont be "honking" after tomorrow's game against Germany Well, you don't have to worry any more about the folk in Little Italy endangering the public with their shenanigans. Happens here, too, in a city near which we live. Can you imagine if they had won against Spain? I was more like rooting for Ukraine and Shevchenko, but they got a goal cancelled, and England won 1:0 and qualified for the quarterfinals along with France, which lost to Sweden but had enough points already. I don't know how they can get away with this in soccer. All other sports, they replay the action from all angles. But with soccer, it all rests in the biases of one person, in this case the fool referee from Turkeytrotland. Even the media reported this as "an improperly disallowed goal".

The worst example of this was the goal which Maradona got recognized against England. But that was very long ago, before replay was even technically feasible, and the English signalling "hands" to the referee was to no avail.
