i'm sure not a unique concept.rotfl but was thinking of all of us who have read about double digging? now say somebody had the inclination to dig a hundred by 50 foot square? down say oh 2 feet or so? added a foot of leaves across the bottom some sticks organic waste ect? then capped all that with a foot or so of manure? then capped that with the native soil? came back in 3 months.....flipped the top 6-10 inches or so and planted in it?

Phooey on the last bit of turning soil. I wouldn't turn a double dug bed till the following year. None a my garden noticed the lack, ever. Even Ohioan clay.

still mulling it over.i may cheat and ask uncle to use tractor to clear dirt.
