I thunk there was a perfectly good reason why you might want to grow mast trees that attract feral piggies. Can you shoot them off the back porch? I'm so-o-o jealous!

In NH they was called "Fish & Game", here they is ODNR "Ohio Dept o Natural Resource". But they'll always be fish & game to me.
NH never had such a thing as a no limit, season, um, that also ran 365 days a year. Theres gotta be private property issues for there to be any left unshot.

We used to raise Hogs Then one time some got loose. Well the corn was so high there was no finding them. It was 3 babies. After a few weeks dave said ohhh their either daed or feral. A couple more weeks after that a neighbor down the road called me and asked if we were still missing those 3 pigs.. Of course we are. She was feeding them bread so I took a big cage down there, put the bread in there and they went inside but everytime we wanted to close the door they would run out. So I went and got another neighbor! I said all we need is a butterfly net. She said ohhh I have an Idea! She went and got an old blanket the hoggs went in the cage she walked up with the blanket in front of her, shut the doo,r and we had our pigs Dave said we could never catch. Thats the closest I have come to a feral hog LOL

They are all in our management area. There is no season limit on them but you have to use the weapons that are legal for hunting other game at that time. Like hunting hogs with bows during deer archery season or black powder guns during primitive weapon season. When no weapons are legal hunters catch them with pit bulls then tie them up and take them home to fatten up a couple of weeks. Couple of guys at work landed a canoe on an island in a swamp and found themselves surrounded . There was so much buckshot flying that it's surprising that they didn't shoot each other. They did manage mama sow, 3 of her teenagers and the littlest piggie.
