Kringle the cats' day is turning out very brown. The Sapling-In-Cheif brought her boys new puppy by for a visit.
he swelled up to his mightiest size, sighed and then ran for the upstairs.

He who runs away lives to fight another day. Taking on the pup while is is young might have set a better precedent though.

He who runs away lives to fight another day. Taking on the pup while is is young might have set a better precedent though. Kringle is old and arthritic. He's also not real big on sharing. After these kinds of visits, Kringle will need to present his back for an hour or three in disaproval.

Kringle in his final innings. As long as he's eating well, and hustling for some catnip treats, then its a good thing.
A puppy aught to be something he could play with (as in torment) instead of run away from...

The Seedling-In-Chief visited this past weekend. Mum (SIC) brung the puppy while she dropped off the boy, to Kringle's horror.
The puppy in the spirit of sharing would go up and visit with Kringle (breifly) while he was hiding upstairs. It was fun to listen to.
Kringle used the awful puppy visit as his need for double supper rations...
I think a good time was had by all.

Holly is busy being home-room-goddess at wisteria campground. So as a result Kringle has decided she must be hiding in the bathroom. He visits the rest-room about once an hour and makes his "come to attention" meow. But no, Holly is not in the bathroom...
I'm not sure I have the heart to tell Kringle that Sapling-In-Chief and wiggles will be in-house tomorrow.
Film at eleven.
Just as an aside; Kringle has traveled with holly over much of the world. His longest trip was by plane (in baggage) to Vietnam.

Vietnam? He's lucky that he didn't get invited to dinner!

So has he hissed at Wiggles the customary 437 times?

He builds to a yowl pretty quick, with hissing and sissing as color. Kringle lives upstairs while Wiggles (Luna) is in-house. After Wiggles departs, he will sit in the middle of the room or passage-way presenting his back, in disaproval.

Luna (aka wiggles) is a golden and standard breed cross. She is a very energetic mid-size pup. And I'm sure she'd play dead or roll over (for about five seconds) for some sardines.

The sardines were for Kringle but it sounds like he would eat them and still turn his back.

Not if Wiggles has anything to say about it. Stealing food is a household past-time at her house (with three cats fer roomies).
Wiggles knows where Kringles dry-food is. if Kringle blinks its gone. This too is just another of a multitude of Wiggle transgresions.
