This is a petless home. WAAAAHHHHH!!! When our kitty died, I decided to take a pet break. It's just sooooooooo hard to lose them.
Anyhow, my "I wanna pet" o monitor reminds me every day how nice it would be to have a furry again. This time, I'll get kittens and puppies at the same time. YEA!!! Maybe soon...
In the meantime, looking at yours makes me smile!!

Wish I had a camera to take pics of Phoebe-(aka the insane kitten). Her new favorite toy is an empty paper towel tube which she has been rolling around with; but her attention span is short, so she forgets about it in favor of attacking things that aren't there, running around the house and sliding into things like she's in a pinball game, then posing as a halloween cat, then mistaking my leg for something she can climb (not with shorts on!), then finding her favorite toy again as if it was brand new. I hate kittens.

Get a laser pointer and let her chase the beam. Randomly click it off just to bug her.

Had one of those once, one of my dogs loved it. I don't think Phoebe needs anything else to play with, the entire house is her playground, us included- and Della. The other cats still hate her, although my matriarch, Taffy is starting to tolerate her.

Harley is like a 2 year old , he has his pig ears and his toys he takes with him when we go up north, every time we get in the truck he looks for his stuff, if a pig ear is between the seats or something he starts digging at it or hitting me till I get it for him... Then he chews or plays for about 5 mins and then he is knocked out !! We have to check him for a pulse when we drive up north because he sleeps the whole 3 hrs up there...

Making coffee this morning and Phoebe, aka the insane kitten was lurking in a nook where I keep the broom. Della, the 85 lb shepherd walked around the corner, and Phoebe was in full attack mode- stretching her little legs out as far as they would go to attack Della- they wouldn't even fit around half of her nose! I just about choked on my coffee!

Phoebe, aka the insane kitten is on a pogo stick tonight. She's bouncing off the door, Della is laying on the floor, and phoebe runs right at her nose and goes into full attack kitten mode- rearing back on her hind legs and trying to attack Della's ears. Then it's bouncing off to attack taffybug- the matriarch, who looks at her with distain, so phoebe runs down the hallway growling to herself to try and attack Cato, the trained attack cat. Good luck!

Well, Phoebe thinks she is a big girl now. we have 2 kitty/doggy doors in the house, and this morning, she watched Cato, the trained attack cat go out one. Of course she had to try it also, and was halfway out the door when I grabbed her. I can't shut off the doors, because the adult cats and Della use them, so, after breakfast, I grabbed her and showed her three times how to get back inside using the kitty door. she was exploring outdoors in a flash, with Della following her every move like a nervous mother. (not me tho) I would go out every 15 minutes or so to see where she was, and show her the kitty door again. She has now successfully gotten in twice by herself, so she knows what to do... I just wish I didn't have to be gone for the next week in the city to work:( I wanted to keep her indoors until she got bigger, but at least I was here for the first foray outside and to show her how to get back in......

Lalbers, you have such a good time with your critters. Love hearing about them. My cousin has a new standard poodle puppy named Harry. He's just adorable. Now I want one.... We still don't have any pets. I'm waiting for one to show up at my door but it has been a looooong wait. Guess I'll have to go find one on my own.
