A contractor that works for me has a saying "you can't help somebody get on their feet till they get off their arse". Life won't change it's self.

A motivational inspirational get off yer arse lol thread is just what I need! I bought a battery operated weed whacker on Amazon Black Decker Grasshog along with a nice 4 amp hour battery and a battery charger, whew, I LOVE IT! I need to go through the weed-grown back garden and just whack the whole thing down, but first do the front garden! ... but that means I need to get off my arse. That is gettin' harder to do? am I gettin old? Don't answer that!

Well THANKS TO THIS THREAD, I went out and weed-whacked the front garden down to about 8" tall in grass. What with the weird wet cool weather the grass thinks life is just peachy! Next I need to take out the LOPPERS and go after some big 8-foot tall weeds that are starting to flower. huh. Maybe I should take my life in my hands and try weed-whacking the pankar huyu? This time of year, I'm scared of 6-foot copperheads, though.

This is a great motivational thread. I got some lawnmowing done after moving stuff out of our shed. Technically I wasn't EXACTLY off my arse, 'cause I was still sitting on the riding lawnmower, but I DID get something done.

That is gettin' harder to do? am I gettin old? Don't answer that! Hey! I got that very set up off Amazon a couple of years ago. Mine is a factory refurb, so it was a lot less expensive than the one in the link. For being as light as it is, the thing is a workhorse.

Yep, it was a lot cheaper when I bought it, too. What I like is it doesn't EVER have to be "restrung" where you have to stop and take it apart enough to get more string out, plus it's nice and lightweight .... our old one was electric and we had to haul out hundred-foot cord and haul it around, whew, this is WONDERFUL after that.
I just cleaned out a bunch of old chicken-droppings and hay from our shed. Next is sweeping everything, shelves, walls, ceiling, floor, then getting the hose over there and hosing the whole thing down ... then moving all the gardening stuff in there. All to happen 'cause I'm slowly, creakily, "getting off my arse, lol!"

Shed is now SWEPT. wah hahahah! And I mowed more into the "wilderness" grass and weeds that have taken over a few acres. It was 73F about 2:30 pm when I started mowing; it was 49F this morning. Ticks and chiggers don't like it ... hah. Plus I took the loppers and lopped back some young wild trees popping up where I don't want 'em. Plus today we're ordering a chimney liner from a fellow recommended by Home Depot. Small town Home Depot, good for advice on "who're ya gonna call?" Anyhoo, I got off my arse some today.

Yesterday while on the hunt at Wally Werld for some bananas, I stumbled onto a few of the prettiest quince I have seen inna while. I bought the two best, and today culled them for their seeds.
The fifty odd seed want into a pan to sleep till spring, awaiting next springs awakening.
