Was able to work up about half of garden #1 today...before my get up and go-left. Worked up all of garden #2 on Monday of this week, for this years beans. yesterday, I planted a tray of cabbages (72), indoors. The weather has been exceptionally warm this week. actually got up to 81 degrees today. Moved the snowblower to the rear of the shed...riding mower to the front. Hopefully, not to soon, we've been known to get some major snow storms the end of March. Might plant peas before the end of the week. Will be starting tomatoes soon as well as squash and other warm weather crops. Really looking forward to tasting over 75 different varieties of beans this year and comparing them to last years rattlesnake beans which were the best tasting beans I've ever grown. Both as a green bean and a dried soup bean. Happy Gardening! Enjoy, Camo

I think that you might be the only post in a couple of months but good to hear from you. Thanks GCG. Didn't realize that things had died that much here. Did manage to get all my pea's planted and caged today. Even worked up another row in garden #1. Will probably start another tray of seeds tomorrow. Hopefully there will be more traffic here with spring just about on top of us now. Enjoy! Camo

Well I let 2 days pass without checking my seedlings. They dried out and I lost 5 out of 8 jalapeƱos.

Well I let 2 days pass without checking my seedlings. They dried out and I lost 5 out of 8 jalapeƱos. Sorry to hear about your loss. I guess somethings should be checked daily...maybe more frequently. So far, all is well here. Calling for slightly cooler temps over the weekend, but sure can't complain about the warmth we've had this week. I imagine I'm a good month ahead on garden schedule. Last year at this time we still had lots of snow and ice on the grounds. I imagine you still have plenty of time to replant...Good Luck! Enjoy! Camo

Hope you have success there. This year has been unusually mild here, except for golf ball to softball size hail somewhere in the region about every week. Still my pomegranate wishes it was further south. Leaves got burned off by a frost, but is 6 feet tall now. No fruit but at least it looks like it belongs now. Am trying Large Red tomatoes for the first time, as well as Trinidad Perfume peppers.
