Yes I wish hubbs would get the kitchen underway up north .. the breakfast bar will be cherry and I would love to burn a wonderful scene on it

I've got one project I can't disclose until after Christmas (someone could be watching ya know). I'm winging it, so hope it turns out well. After that, the next project will be building a top-bar bee hive. Gonna break down and give it a try. Construction looks fairly straightforward on that one.

Well, the project was finished enough to present to the wife today. I built a rigid heddle loom for her. Free standing, used dowel pegs so that it can be folded to take up less space. I think it will give her enough side to side space to weave 45" wide material. I'll post a pic in the next few days when it is completely finished unless there is a design flaw.
Still need to do some more finish sanding, stain it and add some more cuts and holes in the heddle before it will be 100% finished, but I think she was pleased. She's been fascinated by weaving since she was a girl, but never owned what I think of as a real loom.
Now if my design is not flawed, she should be in business.
