My favorite reptile to play with was a 'horny toad'. We used to round up as many as we could find & we'd have horny toad rodeos & horny toad circuses. We tried to reinact Prison rodeos with em. ;D It was awesome when you could get em to squirt blood from their eye, but I wasn't real impressed when they peed on me.

Did you ever make yarn dolls?
Years ago Jim and the kids came home with the biggest tree ever-- we had 10 ft ceilings and it was bent over at the tippy top , took up a huge corner--had to remove some of the furniture from the living room. didn't have quite enough ornaments to decorate just the front part never mind the sides and back which were crammed against the walls. so the kids made paper stars and snow flakes and paper chains still needed more ornies so we made old fashioned yarn dolls. had angels with bits and pieces of lace etc from my sewing stash boy angels and girls --- then elves, cutting pants and vests from felt which I sewed, then kids glued sequins and beads on their vests and boots. after making a couple of them my son used chenille stems to make a basic stick body which they stuck into the yarn bodies before dressing them. ended up with elves that could be bent into sitting -- climbing hanging on to branches all different positions . They were so cute . Still had a few last Christmas.
Memories of Christmas past.
