So, have been back and forth on this one (as far as me thinking about growing it), but we need some more threads. <smile>
Anyone have it and willing to part with about 50 seeds?

From what I have been told, it is an elongated bell type that has some serious spice to it, with out being too hot, and especially suited to pickling in slices to use later on sammiches.
Which is not a bad thing. Most of what I have has far too much heat for anyone in my family to take a bite into. I use them to spice things, but as a paste or oil. My sweets are just that. Sweet.
I have not heard any bad things about beaver dam. Just had not done a grow of it yet to really trial it.
Thanks Bammer. Sent you a message.

I grow Beaver Dam. It is not that hot. Does get a little spicy near maturity, especially around the seeds in the pepper, less than a Jalapeno. Great pepper. One of my favorites, and I have 50+ strains of peppers. I love grilling it, wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cream cheese. Big peppers. I have pics but do not know how to post them. Here is a pic and description of one I grew this year. dustbowlseed.com/Contact.html
