ok today while resting from doing chores I sat down with my coffee and tv. well mercy sakes theres a bunch of fellas tromping around the woods looking for big foots. those big hairy ape like fellas that run thru the woods and scare people. Now first off they had a parade of autos driving thru the woods- filming with heat sensing cameras -must have been 10 cars one after the other then they get out and hollar . seems like someone has a tape of bigfoot hollars-- now what ya suppose any self respecting bigfoot gonna think of weird folks tromping thru his yard screeching and hollaring. beside who knows what that hollar means to BF --could be a run for the hills theres weird fellas in the house type hollar. so have any of yawl ever seen a bigfoot--or sasquatch or yeti or even think ya MIGHT have seen one? Do you believe there is any such critter. I have not exactly made up my mind if they exist or not. What ya think?

The old man swears he saw one a couple of years ago.
Back story, he grew up on a working farm and rode herd for a big cattle rancher as a teen. So, he's been around horses and cattle all his life.
Fastforward ... he is driving up to Kansas to buy lottery tickets in his firebird doing about 80. Not a lot of traffic, but nice bright, sunny day mid winter. Off to the west, he sees something coming real fast as he tops a hill. He slows down and watches and realizes it is running upright on two legs, about as fast as a horse can run. There are 2 fences in between when he spots it and the road way, but he misses seeing it go over the first fence. He sees it go over the second fence, cross the 2 lane blacktop highway in 2 jumps and jump down into the barditch where it drops off into a creek bottom ... about 6'. Then, it flattens out against the bank and hides as he goes past.
The old man says he wanted to stop, he says he tried to stop, but something kept him from stopping.
Now, if it was a bigfoot, we figure it was headed to the salt flats.
But, in the middle of the winter, running flat out across the terrain it crossed, at the speed it was making, there is no way it was human or bear which are the only animals around here that large that go on 2 feet and bears generally don't run on 2 feet.

Ahhhhh Annie, now thats what I was wanting to hear ,,,, weather or not anyone has seen something on that order that can't be explained. I was poking fun at the tv show I had watched, cuz it was so over the top as far as dramatizing the whole procedure. thanks for sharing!!!!!!!
BTW I don't think anyone with an ounce of common sense would have stopped ! Me I would have stomped the the pedal to da metal and got the heck outa dodge!

Ah, but the Arapaho from this area have stories about the wildman and not to bother them as they come through on their journeys. As for the show, that is so much hype it is annoying I do watch it mostly for the reports they get ... but not for the idiotic "hunting trips" they do as they probably won't ever catch one on film with all the ridiculous circus they have going on.

I don't know If I should believe or not...I'd love to think that there is the infamous big foot or what ever you want to call him. And I really want to think he is out there somewhere. But then my better sence kicks in and says nope! It is all garbage. People faking it all, but really what if he is out there? I guess I have believed in weirder things

Annclaire, Not sure what episode they filmed around here. I know they did some filming down around Caddo lake and Jefferson area. I have only watched mebbe 3 different episodes , a couple when my brother was here and then the one I was poking fun at in op. I will try to catch the show this Sunday.
My Grandparents lived in the Caddo /Jefferson area, the river bottoms around there are or can be very spooky at night. Lots of wild life--- gators etc. so noises can get to ya if ya are a bit on the timid side or not accustomed to being out in the woods at night . As kids we spent a lotta time running, horse backing , and playing thru that area. some night hunting too. Grandparents lived back in the deep back woods, miles from any neighbors. It was neat. But we never saw any foot prints or heard any tales of a big foot. heard lots of ghost tales but thats a whole nuther subject. Papa had lots of em. Gram just rolled her eyes .

I have met people in the wild northern Cal area who really do feel they exist. They have seen things they can't explain and are quite serious about the matter, scared even. And they are pretty straight laced types, too. I hope they never settle the matter even to the point of never finding one if they are real, I like legends that stay alive.

I did watch 2 shows that weekend--- . Neither of the ones I saw were filmed here in Texas.
Both shows were ok .
hahhaha----
years ago Jim and I went camping ---very primitive camping- in the mountains beside a stream in the woods -- late one evening 2 couples showed up -- set up their camps--- lots of hi dollar equipment--- they settled in, with all kinds of drama getting their stuff set up took them hours it seemed like and upteen trips back and forth to the autos --yep 2 cars load of stuff.... Tired me out watching them so after awhile we finally went to bed after going for a mid night swim. __ya we was lots younger back then.
About 2 am in the dark of night we heard lots of noise and hollaring and just regular ole cuss words then banging and clanging -- and all 4 of them folks packed up and left the area in a big hurry. The only thing I could make sense out of all the hoopla was one of them seen a spider or had a spider walk across them.
We always wondered what would have happened if they had seen the snake we ran off shorty after they arrived.

i get a big grin when they talk so definitively about the "squatches" habits, lifestyle, diet, movements, etc... they have to take a seditive to keep from bustin' out laughin during the show.
