Yeppers when ya get to be 65 ya start wearing down!
muscle aches and just general old folks complaints.
need to get another 25 pounds off--its harder as ya get older. and gain extra pounds quicker or so it seems.

Me too ... been recovering from a back injury the past 2.5 years and last fall was the first time I was able to actually get out and do some real work around the place. I had quite a bit that had built up over the previous 2 years that needed organized and put away. I still have one more set of garden edging (leached railroad ties) to get put in for the strawberry bed, but I'll be able to get that done during the short warm spells we have even through the winter. Then, I need to make new netting cages for the strawberries or the birds will get them first LOL But that is just trimming boards and screwing them together, then stapling the netting on. A few other projects that will come up along the way, but now I'll be able to tackle them as they come up

Gosh do I remember trying to catch up after I throwed my back outa whack! Just be careful and don't go heaving those crossties around.
what kind of strawberries do ya have luck with up there in Ok. I lost all of mine to the drought and need to replace them. Didn't know what brand they were, had gotten my start from an elder gardener years ago and she didn't know just that it was what her Mom had grown for years. Now shes gone and most folks around here also lost theirs .

I got whatever Everbearing the nursery had ... don't know the variety, but they do really well in the heat as long as they are watered well and mulched well. The leaves can get as big as my hand As for the cross-ties, they are close to where I need them and I can 'walk' them into position by lifting one end and then the other ... ain't no way I am going to take a chance and throw my back out again!

OMG guys I have had about 15 surgerys... I am so sick and tired of my body!! I wish I could jump into a younger one!! It is a wonder I look normal!! But I do lol.. my latest surgery was last year when I broke my wrist, for the second time. I fell again just a couple of weeks ago sprained my ankle. At least I am not walking with a limp anymore. Well unless I wear my shoes. Then they hit at a certain spot that just makes it hurt. my biggest surgerys were my back , then my leg, and they took bone out of my hip to rebuild my leg, so now when my jeans hit a certain spot... jeeze what will I feel like when I am 60?

Have you got weak bones---can't think what that is called -- where the bones break easily.
Went to school with a boy that seemed like he always had something broken.

After about 12 surgerys I have my aches and pains .... I think it is up to 14 now but I tried to lose count .... I have aches pains and acid reflux!! I have a feeling I will live a long and prosperous life with aches and pains.... You guys should see how Dave watches me... when I sprained my ankle he slapped me in the chair and gave me some frozen peas went and got the crutches .... But man I am tired of this carp!!! very very tired of it!! I am very fortunate that all or lets say most of my stuff has been from broken bones.. not my lungs or heart or any cancer .....so I do thank my lucky stars and god

I guess I'm not doing too bad for 58. I fell getting wood off the pile the other day because my dog got in the way. (She doesn't get far away from me, that's why I named her Shadow.) I figured I'd really be sore the next day but I wasn't. Did have some bruises on my back where I fell into the wheelbarrow and one on the back of my leg. Guess all my "padding" cushioned me. lol
