Its funny you bring this up. The other day a friend (she ended the friendship close to 20 years ago saying she didn't want to have anything to do with my husband or myself) called. She wanted to talk to my stepdaughter who was once engaged to her son. I think I remember she did this once before and my stepdaughter didn't want to return the call. Anyway, she said she would also like to have lunch with me and hubby.
I am really not sure if I want to get involved with her again. While we got along well for about 5 years, she has a very explosive personality. Don't know if I want to get together or not. I think we got along so well because I am very easy going, but now just don't know.......

Strange how that works, isn't it. I had this friend years ago, that we were as close as sisters. We moved, and I didn't see her for a quite few years, and when I did, she was like an entirely different person. I hardly even knew what to talk about. It's kind of sad, because we had so much in common back then, and now, we're never in touch. I suppose we all change over the years, tho.

Yes and no. We might have had so much in common since we both had pretty much the same awful problems, and helped each other through bad times. Aging changes a person too, and I'd rather know what I know now than go through all that over again.
And, there's always new friends, so that's a plus.

A lil story here, I had a friend her name was Tammy, she was a single mom with 3 kids, her kids were wonderful! And I worked with Tammy , well the last boyfriend she had she moved in with him, well he started hitting her and she called me one night needing a place to stay, so Dave and I took her in. She was here for about two weeks and I found out she was seeing that boyfriend on the side. I told her I couldn't take it anymore that she had to move out and I couldn't be friends with her anymore. I couldn't stand by and watch this stuff....... Well a few years went by Like 10, and I got a phonecall out of the blue It was Tammy She had gotten married to a wonderful guy and wanted to apologize to me and thank me at the same time. We cried meet up , I went to visit her, Brenda even went to Beauty school with her oldest. Funny we havn't seen each other since .... But it was a very happy reunion
