aawwww ok ya really wanna know
If I could go back too many years ago . I would fully explain why a certain person showed up at my house early one Sunday morning, what the private conversation out at his car entailed and what the phone call was all about and who was on the other end.
maybe would have prevented some pain all around
then again maybe would have been worse will never know now.

I would have finished college. I have missed out on several jobs because I do not have a degree.
Marielouise that sounds like an interesting story that will never be told. I have several.

Everybody can do---there is no meaning. Only I can do---there is a lot of possibility.

I would rewind ... before my parents passed away so I could tell them what awesome and wonderful great grand children they are going to have... make my mom go to the Dr. like she should have so she could live longer to see some of her great grand children .......... Make my sister in law go to the dr. so they could help her before she passed and make my brother stop smoking so they could see how wonderful their children and grand children are and heck they have a great grand child also ..... I miss them all so very much...... if I could just hugg them all ........ I miss them all so much!!!

Good ideas Wendy, and I know how you feel. IF I could have stopped my brother's smoking, I often think how he would have loved our grandkids, and he would've gotten along so well with our son-in-law, too. He was only 72 when he died, with the very breath gone out of him because of the heavy smoking for years; he did quit, but too late. Good that he could see our daughter grow up, tho. She was still little tho, when my Dad passed away, and I wish he'd have been with us a lot longer, too. My Mom stayed with us longer, but then our daughter had moved quite a ways away, so she didn't get to see her much then, either. I think of them so often, and miss them, too. So many great memories to be thankful for, but we sure would love being able to see them again.

She was a tall woman 5'11 tall to me anyway, but she would never go to the dr. unless she absolutely had to. When I was growing up I never once knew her to go to the doc. My brother used to chew since he was a kid , and if he wasn't doing that he was smoking... my sister in law was so into getting him well unknowingly she had cancer and passed away before he did .. my dad suffered with alot of stuff but like my mom never went to the dr. All of them were very heavy smokers...... None of my sisters or I smoke .. my Sister Diane did for alot of years but quit when my brother suffered so bad... hopefully she stopped in time to reverse any damage .....It is really to bad they are missing so very much .....

This topic has been bugging me since I wrote my reply--- "" story that will never be told"" as dobber called it. If you change one little happening , every thing after that would be changed ! Stands to reason! so the big question is does one really want to change everything that has happened since that event? ? In my case it was meeting and marrying hubs and 3 kids and a life thats darn good. would I have met him is the question? Cause that did change the very direction my life was headed --- for better or worse--- ?... I can relate to wanting to change a loved ones life, if you could have caused them to change a behavior that was endangering said life. Thats a big IF by the way. As we all know. Now reddy bubba ---- you bring up these thought provoking topics but don't share whats up with you and said topic. What would you change, know theres something thats bugging ya! Wink wink

If I could go back in time-I'd want the later summer evenings with my son & his buddies, 10 years old on the trampoline, the smell of "Yard Guard" in the air, oldies on the radio and me & my then husband having adult beverages watching the kids play. If I could go back, I'd be fishing with my Daddy and laughing until I cried because he was a hilarious story teller. Once more, I'd be sitting at my Grandma's table eating gumbo and talking about everything & everybody. Now, I have tears in my eyes...

((((catgrass)))), that was so sweet; made me cry too.
If I could go back, I'd spend a lot more time with my kids playing and laughing. I do that with my grandkids now and wish with all my heart I'd played more with my kids. We had fun, but I regret not playing more.

If I could stop time I would go back and listen to the voice that was telling me to go down to the hospital where she worked but got checked into it instead. I would drag my kids to see her one last time even though it was late and in the middle of the week. I would tell her it's okay to go instead of telling her on the phone I did not want her to go. I would tell her I loved her in person.

Change one thing? Never heard of the grandfather paradox? It's more common talk with time travel and was even vaguely mentioned on futurama --it goes something like this "if you kill you're grandfather before you're born do you still exist?"
On topic yea I have stopped time inadvertantally and even gone back in time I have no clue how I did it tho
One day I coulda swore I heard the school bell and was late to class teacher said I was fine tho --another day I explained something in class at what I thought was my normal speed a couple students were confused thought I went a bit fast and asked to I asked the teacher and she asked that I repeat so I did --she even thought I was going thru really quickly but to me it felt about normal speed
Perception is an incredible thing
