Guess we are all earthbound in this existence. Here to learn, to experience all the wonders of this magnificent, varied planet; sights, smells, sounds, tastes.... A feast for the senses!!!
Old Hippie book written by Ram Daas, "Be Here Now"..... that has been my mantra for a long time. Be Here Now, learn, do, see, enjoy what's unfolding at this minute, learn from it, don't reject it, because, later, all things work together for good in the tapestry of life.
We are all spiritual beings, universal travelers. The earth is where we are now and this existence is the one we are aware of.
Don't be passive; this is a life and has to be lived. Do something each day to create a good memory. We cannot create the future; we can, however, create our past. So when we 'do' something that is fun, beautiful, kind, happy, enjoyable, it goes into our memory bank as a 'good thing'. Every day be more conscious of 'doing' and 'being' and 'creating' your own life. Start with 1 thing, then 2, and then 3.... soon a majority of your day will be one you created.

Yep ya gotta stop and smell the roses and dance in the rain !
Life is what ya make it. Ya can spend your time on wasted emotions -- such as envy or jealousy --- or get on with enjoying what it is you do have and how to just relax .
Rosie put it so much better.

I see it as we are all earth bound, not trapped, Well if we are we are trapped in paradise , because we are alive , Rozie put it very well , I will stop and smell the roses but I don't dance in the rain ... I will smell the lilacs , the dandelions my G'kids give me, hug my husband, appreciate my kids, pet the kitty and yell at my dog , even if my day doesn't go very well , I try and look at a bright side... because where there is light there is life ..... If I have ever missed a boat, I am sure it was bound to sink with me in it

Dancing in the rain was my Grandpas code for living and loving and enjoying life as it comes . If we never faced any obstacles then we wouldn't know how sweet life can be.even the real bad times will have a ray of light at the end of the tunnel, perhaps faint but its there and that's where we aim for.

I at least got a pointy little head. I can't imagine the side of providence that does not face me. Heck I can barely figure out gods face nearest my eye-bone.
An' I been sniffing this scent trail for a longish time. I grew up not far from the Theosophical Society in Wheaton IL. I ran with the likes of Dick Alpert when he first went public on return from India.
I guess I'll settle with growing and training tree babies, and siccing them on unsuspecting tree huggers <G>
