Ok so this aint exactly fiber crafts but since news paper is a wood fiber I suppose close enough...
Paper mache ---- lol---
the grandkids school have what they call red wagon parade around the football field for homecoming game. room mothers build the floats that fit on a wagon and the classmates dressed in costumes , pulls them around the football field before the big game, all part of spirit week the student council picks out the theme then each grade group has one float not each class. for instance one float for all the 2nd grade classes not one float per class.
. I help Rachael with these type projects , she comes up with ideas but needs helps with the how to build . also has limited time since she is self employed plus has house to run and kiddos to care for . she is very busy.
we work well together and understand what each means without a lotta words and if what we first isn't working right are flexable enuff to change with no big drama. Plus we both are flexable time wise This year the theme was Movie Cartoons-- her choice was Smurfs movie that had came out little while before game week. with mushroom houses and smurfs falling down into the NYC
this is what we came up with for grandsons class.
front side -- NYC buildings on bottom skirt are that window tint for car windows-- was very shiney
other side -- granddaughter (10) helped paint the landscape
float and 2 skyscrapers --one at each end-- cardboard boxes covered with window tint carried by little boys
end view
parade started!
the girl pulling wagon wearing pink hat is granddaughter who is in 4th grade --- she was upset with her teacher so walked with her brothers class.
