And honey and vinegar , there is information on that mixture also at this site just look in the top bar for it. It was one of those things that after awhile I got off my routine --ha--ran out of honey and just fell out of the routine and recently started up again . any hooo since I got it started up again I do feel better and sleep better so thought I would share a link with yawl. My sinuis problems have cleared up. and back is feeling much better. anyone else ever used either mixture ?

I eat raw honey every day, but I've never tried mixing it with Cinnamon, which I know has lots of value in it's own right. Thanks for posting this link ML. I'll be keeping it handy and trying some of the suggestions.

either that link or another one says that raw honey is best for medicinal purposes so you are better off than I am ---cant find any raw around here lately. a few years ago I had a Canadian Doctors research site and all the different experiments he and his patients had done but appearently that particular site is no longer around--- my old link has not worked for 2 years now so I deleted it and can't find another for him. I had printed out some of his results for a friend --she has RA and had pain and swelling relief using his remedies but she has moved and not sure where she got off to. Wish now I had made me a copy!

I had forgotten about this topic----duhhhh---- any hooo I found a good sourse for raw honey in this area finally--- at a local produce stand thats been in "" bidness"" going on 4 generations now. Bought me some! thanks for the links Blue and Bella, I bookmarked both of them so I can refer back to them again and read more fully . Didn't have enough time tonight. Tooo tired !!!LOL

I've heard of honey and cinnamon nearly being better then garlic! I'd use penzeys cinnamon but that's my call lol
I should get some honey shame its so expensive lol but I do love the stuff even if my nurse mother who thinks bleach is safe to eat (Splenda) and that fluoride is actually GOOD for you (it's in the water do we really need it in our toothpaste too?) thinks honey is pure sugar and thus worse then I think Monsanto is or some crazy crap of the sort

lieb, the honey from China has been overly processed in a manner that removes all the healthy benefits of it from their product. Check labels any thing from Vietnam and other countrys are originating in China so pay the extra and find some from Canada or the US. Especially if you want to use it for the healthy benefits.

For health benefits, you need the honey with the pollen and enzymes in it. Heat filtering removes the pollen and destroys the enzymes. Raw honey with the pollen in it will usually brag about the pollen and enzymes all over the label. If the label doesn't say, you should assume that the pollen has been filtered out. It has probably been heat-processed, too.
(Processors filter the pollen out because most consumers like honey to look clearer. However, it has a side benefit for unscrupulous processors, in that the source of the honey can't be verified if there is no pollen in it. So plain clover honey or mixed honey can be passed off as more expensive types of honey. Also, some of the less ethical foreign processors have been known to replace some of the honey with sugar and water to increase their profits. That practice is illegal in the U.S. - any product labeled "honey" has to actually be 100% honey or it can't be called "honey" - it has to be labeled in some way that identifies it as something other than pure honey. But there's no way for the U.S. to verify that imported honey is actually 100% honey versus mostly honey with some sugar and water.)
Raw, honey with pollen will usually be a little darker in color and it definitely won't be crystal clear because of the pollen particles in it. The brand I use is Bee Natural Wildflower honey, which is sourced from Florida and Argentina. I can find it in my grocery store and it is quite reasonable. It's not all that much more expensive than the processed stuff, especially in the larger jars. Honey never spoils, so you may as well buy the big jar if you have room to store it.

I just realized that I have spent all my life eating "fake" cinnamon. I'll be darned. I just looked on the Penzey's site - they have the real Ceylon cinnamon. I just thought I'd mention that since earlier in the thread someone was wondering if Penzey's is selling the "real" stuff. They are.

I like and trust penzeys and they don't seem to under do it eighter lol and with the prices I'd expect the "real" stuff as well
