1 large yellow onion, quartered 4 cloves of garlic, crushed 1 inch cube of fresh ginger peeled 2 teaspoons of ghee or olive oil 3/4 tsp ground cumin 3/4 tsp ground coriander 1/2 teaspoon of ground cardamom 1/2 teaspoon of cloves 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper 1 pound of grassfed top round beef cut into 1/2 inch by 2 inch pieces 1 cup of frozen english peas 2/3 cup of plain greek yogurt 1/3 cup toasted cashews optional
combine onion, giner, and garlic in a food processor and puree, set aside melt ghee in a sautee pan and heat all spices for 1 or 2 minutes then add to the puree and pulse to combine combine the puree and beef in a slow cooker and stir to coat. cook on low for 4 to 5 hrs add peas and yogurt in the last 15 minutes then garnish with cashews and serve.

Cashews Optional? Really? Naw, Cashews should be Mandatory! Love them in stir fries.... Sounds like a tasty recipe. I'll pass it along to my Son and DIL. They can make it for me some night when Paintman is out of town cuz Cumin doesn't agree with him.

Well it is in the slow cooker. I won't get to have it for dinner tonight. By the time I found all the parts to the food processor(I usually just use a knife) it was to late. With 4 to 5 hrs to go.

It's always good when you make something and have to wait for more than 24 hours to eat it, to find out that you do actually like what you've made
