Not quite sure what you mean by not including iDig? I think he meant that so far, idig hadn't been listed on this thread as yet......

What happened at idig? The forum seems to have abruptly closed with no explanation given, no explanation at the BC website, and a great deal of gardening knowledge lost in the ether. There was, for just one example, a thread some time back on indigenous microorganism which I wish I had copied or at least taken notes from.

No real idea. The seed store, rareseeds.com, is open but after declining postings the forums is closed.

Weird. I think I went there a couple of times this past year. Could be anything, starting with someone not paying a fee to keep the site up. That's happened before. I would think they'd pull the link off their website or address it somehow if it was really gone.

i'd bet the farm the reason idig shut down was disrespect to the owner/moderator. i only dropped in now and again when time permitted but i would quickly skim new threads looking for something of interest. it was noticeable that a very small number of posters would constantly complain when their thread or post was locked due to not following the rules. this would be a standpoint from a business perspective not to give a public explanation.
can't say how many times i just shook my head after reading a complaint as to why some just couldn't leave things go. i give a thumbs up to the owners/moderator for being as tolerant as they were.
sure was a very helpful and informative forum as far as forums go. posters were very knowledgeable.

I'm not sure how to remove all of the post on the Texas sub forum. All private messages both received and sent have been deleted and I have requested that my account on idiv be removed.

Idigmygarden is back up and running under new management. Was interesting when they took the board down, glad they had a change of heart. Hopefully Mischka Will quickly bring the board back up to its previous status.
So far... They're blanking out the website addys from messages left at profiles, and removing the ability to use our own description (where it sez " new member")...
I reckon we could all just join tomatoville and figure out what kinds of changes are acoming.

I coulda made a run at buying it had I known..... but then what to do with the forum? guess I could have put some friends on it to moderate it? I wish the new owner all the best...... I guess I wanted it for all the history and comraderie there.
