One of my former colleages, Lilian Fogh-Christensen, breeds Danish–Swedish Farmdog (Dansk/svensk gårdshund) a dog very similar to the ones ubiquitous on farms I know and also similar to Scotch Terriers. The coat is a patchwork of white, orange and black. All colours are supposed to be uniform, and if a "white" patch is grey mottled, that is considered an off type and pobably stems from in-mix of (German) fowlers. Only recently (I don't know when) this has been recognized as a separate breed. I of course wanted Lorna to read this, but know it may last a while. Here is a link to a (Wikipedia) description: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danish_Swedish_Farmdog

They apparently were bred from Pinschers and Terriers. They resemble Jack Russel/Parson Terriers with the white body and black and tan patches. Cute little guys....
