Yep. A quick google will give you several recipes. I hope to try a Satsuma to see how that goes when the crop is ready. Maybe an orange later on, but I don't think I'll have enough oranges for that.
Pulled out my winemaking supplies this weekend. Would have tried a tomato wine, but the local shop was out of the right kind of yeast plus I need to replace my acid blend and yeast nutrient stash. Will probably start the tomato next weekend. Gonna try winter squash and ground cherry/tomatillo this year too and ...... JALAPENO wine. Looking forward to that one.
Grapes are just the norm for winemaking. Quite a bit of things can be turned into wine if you get the right blends, adjuncts and nutrients into the mix. Of course whether it'll turn out a GOOD wine, well that could be debatable.

Jalepeno wine? Is the idea that the alcohol numbs the pain from the capsaicin?

Lol. Nope, you'd have to drink the whole bottle, and maybe another to do that.
It's intended to primarily be a cooking wine but could be used for a sipping wine for those antifreeze necessary nights.

Ah, okay. A jalepeno wine for cooking makes more sense to me. You could add the acidity, alcohol and heat to your food all in one ingredient. That's neat idea I'd never heard of before.
Satsuma wine sounds delicious, though. I look forward to hearing how it comes out.

It's going to be a while on the Satsuma, as they're nowhere close to ripe, but I'll let ya know.

Yeah, I know. I have a satsuma tree, too. They are the size of large grapes now - mine generally ripen in November. I will look forward to hearing back in the winter/spring sometime.
