;D The tomatoes are going to start rolling in now I am sure! Sad that a lot of my transplants did not make it for what ever reason. Horses stepping on them, some kind of bacterial fungus on the back tomatoes, and herbicide poisoning from the next door farmers. But the ones that did make it look really great!

One of my all time favourite tomatoes. Looks good! I'm sure it will taste even better than it looks....(drool)

Thanks, Dog. I hope to move somewhere that has more sandy Loam in the soil and no farmers spraying pesticide. Some of my transplants just curled up like last year when I took it to the ag ext. office they said possible herbicide poisoning. This year I let the weeds grow up to 6 ft around my garden the sunflowers and the cocabur plants to protect them from the spray. I think this year is going to be a good tomato year for sure!

Wow, I remember your pics last year. That answers why the row of plants went down so fast! Good thinking about letting the weeds grow and take the brunt of the spray. Crying shame your plants have to get caught in the crossfire. We had a lot of rain this early spring, and the flavor of a lot of the tomatoes were muted, but just the ones I've tasted in the last couple of days have started having a deeper flavor now. Had a lot of deep cracking issues so far, but that seems to be improving also. So I think the rest of the season oughta be pretty darn good.

Yes, dog we have had a lot of rain at one time. The first C.P. was not as good as it should be but I had fun cutting into it...such a beautiful tomato. That is what I was thinking the other ones should taste better. At least my tomatoes did not turn black from too much rain.

Vicky, Beautiful tomato!!! I may have to try that one next year....
Hummm about the neighbors spraying their herbicide--- mebbbe if ya ask them to let you know before they spray -- then you could shield your plants with cardboard or plastic or something .. I hate it that people spray that crap but they could be nice and let ya know ahead of time. WE have not gotten any ripe maters just yet--- got some beginning to turn... So hopefully soon--LOL---

Oh Thank You Marie! Yes, it would be nice of them to let me know....The farmer guy lives across the farm road from me their is a field south, west and north so I can get hit from all sides. I wish they could do something else instead of those Herbicides! I am surprised to see any honeybees in my garden.

Vicky, Glad to see your getting some Cherokee Purples. Enjoy them! If You want to try some better tasting Blacks and not be bothered with so much cracking, try Amazon Chocolate, Dana's Dusky Rose or Bear Creek in the future. Even Black master does better. Enjoy! Camo

Camo, Yes, that is for sure! I did plant some Amazon Chocolates but the place I put them they were not shielded from the Herbicide spray the farmers use and killed them all. ): I ordered some more seeds from marianna and got some purple dog creek seeds too. I am doing those in the fall. I can't wait! The c.p's are ok this year nothing outstanding it is always iffy with the rain fall. But they did put out a lot of tomatoes. Also, going to try Midnight in Russia

I have lots of green tomatoes but lost my plot plan and don't know which is what. If I send pictures of the green tomatoes can someone maybe guess what they might be? I won't hold you to it, promise.(smiles)

What happened to my message about getting run off by the snake when I was taking a tomato pic? Oh well, I pulled up my big girl panties and went back out there and took that picture!! (smile)
