Imagine how long the infomercial for a South Bend lathe would be if they played it up like the Roto-Zip. They would have to do a 4 part mini series to cover it all I think.  |

I am a custom knife maker and my wife is the artistic blacksmith. We do artwork, home furnishings, jewelry, cutlery, and other stuff. www.dosgatosforge.comJust ask and if I know, I'll tell you how to do it. If I don't know how, I'll make up a really good story....... If anybody has any interest in forging steel/iron you can check out:http://abana.org/ and find your local chapter. Get friendly with your local blacksmith! The best three things about being a blacksmith are: 1. You get to play with fire and nobody tells you not to. 2. You get to hit stuff and nobody yells at you. 3. You get really black boogers. |

I made all the pipe rail fencing and gates around our property, and I used to make steel fencing and gates of other kinds when I was a general contractor. Mostly cut and weld stuff, never any forged work. Now a days, I don't do any more fencing unless it's for a friend. |
