I am no beauty queen by any means!! But I have been battling very oily t zone skin for ever!! even overflow of the T zone!! Well I was told by a friend to use a primer,My thought (What is primer?) no need to use makeup or anything eles... well I did and it made my oily stuff hold back for a sec. Made my pores look a lil smaller , I liked it!! then as I was scrolling the net I found a cheap beauty trick for oily skin!! It is Phillips Milk of Magnesia (MoM) so ok I went and got some , shook it up , but a very thin layer on my face ... when it dried and turned a lil white I took a wash cloth and wiped that white off .. OMG that was hr's ago and no oil on my face!! Evidently it works for acne and as a deodorant ... only used it on my face 1ce so I don't know .. It is all over the net so look it up have any other beauty secrets

Primer is to prepare you face for makeup Some you can just use the primer w/o makeup ... what I was doing .. I have very uneven skin tone so and very oily ,M.o.m is also supposed to help when in humid conditions It is working for me very well I also heard that using Pepto bismal as a face mask made your face very soft and good for acne ... I havn't tried it as of yet ...

I have probaley tried every cream on the market. Primer is what goes under the foundation in an effort to even out the dry and oily patches. Nothing sucks quite like having an oil slick in the middle of your face, while the foundation is falling off in dry flakes around the edges. I work with yarn and textiles a LOT, so having dry rough hands can be a real pain. Especially if I am spinning. I was reading a spinning forum just the other day wherein there was quite a spirited discussion of bag balm versus corn huskers lotion. I didn't know you could still get corn huskers. The solution I liked best was from a shepherdess who suggested sufferers take up processing raw merino fleeces. As much as 50% of the weight of a raw merino fleece can be lanolin. That might be good for the hands but unless you are raising the beasties, bag balm might be the economically superior choice as raw fleeces are sold by weight!

Yes corn huskers is still out there , I don't have the dry problems tho ... I have Oily skin, even if my hands get a lil dry if I use lotion they get to oily and greasy .... I hate it! So I try just to put it on the tops of my hands ...

Ok so my next beauty trick it soft shiny hair yup found out something that is amazing!! I go to a friends house , one of my best friends!! She has always had shiny hair , she has always had her hair dyed and she blow dries and she straightens her hair. I tried to do all that and it gets soooo dry!! Brittle and just crapy!! I have very hard water to begin with and it is just bad, I know my friend has very hard water also. Well the other day she was looking for something at the store, well she is a white girl and she was looking in the black people section, I said that stuff is for black peoples hair. So she didn't find the "stuff" she was looking for ... Any hoo long story she is looking for Moroccan oil ... She was getting it from her hair dresser now she is getting it from the store, I bought some knock off stuff and OMG I absolutely LOVE it!! I have used it for 2 days and it smells wonderful and I can see a huge difference ... So my friend and I went shopping today and we looked and there are alot of different brands that have Moroccan "Argan" oil ... Love it!! The Moroccan Oil is very expensive , the knock off can be also , I bought mine at Kroger for 23 bucks for a small amount.. They have some other stuff out there that is even cheaper. My friend said the one I bought smells just like the stuff she has from the hair dresser... but ALOT cheaper .. OMG girls try it!!! Look it up on line it is wonderful stuff!!! Guys get some for your wives!! It is wonderful stuff! Just sayin!

I am a long hair woman. I cannot abide it short. I want to be able to tie it up out of my face when I am working. I also dye my hair every few months.
Here are my rules and tips for having nice looking long hair:
Do not shampoo every day. Do it once or twice a week. Unless of course you had a baby rub catsup on your head or something, then of course needs as must. When you wash your hair focus on the scalp area and just give a lick and a promise to the length.
Do condition every day. Get a light conditioner for no wash days, or just one of those leave in conditioners. Give your hair a good rinse in the shower, and then use the lightweight conditioner mostly on the ends, then up the length with a lick and a promise to the scalp area. Just the opposite of how you should shampoo. A heavier conditioner is fine for after you shampoo, and if you live in a snowbelt area you may want a heavier conditioner for your daily rinse after the first hard freeze. When all the water inn the air freezes, things get a mite dry and frizzy. Same goes for desert dwellers year round. you know your climate and what it does to your hair so select accordingly.
Hot oil treatments are a grand way to get certain herbal extracts and oils into your hair, with the added plus of protecting your hair against some of the harsher elements in commercial soaps and shampoos when you go to wash it out. In fact even a cold (room temp) oil treatment can work wonders and pass marigolds. However be careful of what oils you use. Never use olive oil if you have dyed hair, as it is acid enough to strip some of your colour. Coconut oil is a very good choice for most people, if you are allergic almond is also quite good.
There are a number of countries where oil with a powdered herb or herb mixture is the primary cleansing agent for hair. That is how shikakai is traditionally used in India and surrounding countries. Oil the hair in the evening, rub a paste made of shikakai powder and water in and through the next day, wait 15 minutes or half an hour, and rinse it out thoroughly. Awesome results, though a bit pricey and time consuming. I save shikakai treatments for pamper days. I sometimes also add rosemary, amla, and powdered rose petals to my shikakai powder
I like a rosemary infusion as a final rinse a few times a month. It is suppoised to make your hair thicker and give more body. Works for me. Lots of people these days swear by neem extract. Not the neem oil, a leaf extract. I haven't tried it yet, but I am neem-curious.
While I didn't do chemo, I did loose great honking handfuls of hair over the time running up to my surgery due to malnutrition (cancer eats you right up, plus the growth was pressing on my stomach so I was eating like a gymnast those last few weeks). My hair is bouncing right back. The only thing off about it now is it is a bit thin in the bottom half. I have cut it to a couple of inches above my waist and will probably keep it that short until it catches up with itself. Nutrition is important to healthy hair. Eat your greens and your beans!

I keep my hair long because I'm also unable to abide having my hair in my face. I braid it up nice & tight. On occasion I dye my hair, but is an atypical color that I use. First of all, I don't dye my hair to cover up gray... I don't give a rat's patootie about having gray hair. ;D I'll dye my hair because I'm bored with the same ole brown-n-gray. I like to dye my hair a deep, dark, subtle purple. Not nuclear, neon, glow in the dark purple... ;D Most people don't even notice the color unless I'm outside in strong sunlight. Purple is my favorite color & I get a kick out of people's reactions to my hair color.

I really don't dye my hair for everyone eles, I do it for me Hubbs didn't want me to and noone noticed , I don't care what they think, I do it for me I like dark brown hair.. Most of the time it washes out of the grey so I still have grey hair but I just like dyed hair... Now a friend of mine she uses an all natural dye she gets from the health food store.... I may just have to try that
