I used to but it was a 23 mile trip one way. Living by myself I don't need a 48 roll bundle of toilet paper. They have a most excellent price on very good cheese....if you buy it 2 or 3 pounds at a time.

Can't help you with this. a) We don't have them here and b) Aren't they related to Wallyworld? I go out of my way NOT to shop at Box stores...

I have been a member since before it was called Sam's club-it used to be Pace warehouse. We tend to go about once a month or so and I tend to save up to go so that I can buy and bulk and split stuff into smaller packs for storage and use. as with everything else-it is not for everyone.. but I bake and cook and we have found that buying in bulk really makes sense for us. we often split bigger packs of stuff like chicken (remind me to tell ya what we do with it) and cheeses and all kinds of stuff. Plus we do have a once a year thing where we all pick one or two fancy foods(from imports to frozen snacks that kind of thing) and we stay home cook it all and eat while waiting the new year in. Hub's gets our tires there and they have been really good about fixing them quickly when we pick up a nail or other problems like the valve stem that needed to be replaced usually all free since we got the tires there..

I got a good price on tires for my old toyota there, and their jeans are a good buy, and I've gotten some nice flannel shirts there alos-- as are their bulk socks. There are a few other things I'll get there seasonally, like their large bottles of seasonings when I'm making jerkey, and crackers which we go through quickly. Personal items like shampoo are ok there, and I've still got a box of ramen noodles from last year

I joined 3 years ago when the local news tested a lot of Beef and so many stores had bad bacteria. Theirs had none......I make my Member fee back in no time ($40). Milk alone saves me about 70ยข a gallon and I drink 5 a week. Milk & hamburger is their draw card, the rest is a crap shoot of prices with many higher than local sales. It's also 5 minutes away.

The phone I got from them works like carp!! Can't even walk in the kitchen and talk on the phone!! Thats not right! SO I gave up my card. not worth the 40 bucks.

They don't really have much brand name anything. Seems a great club for machine vendor (junk food is cheap) and the Asian take out rest. supplies. If they didn't have cheap milk & Hb I wouldn't even join.

We save several dollars each time we buy baby formula there, vs. anywhere else that sells it. We'll get our membership fee back and then some from that alone. They do have some things that can't readily be found other places. It's half and half, some products are less, some not, just depends on how much you want/can stand of a single product.

Ya
I shop Sam's. I actually know what I want long before I go there. I buy tomato paste and sauce in number 10 cans at appx $3.00 each and so buy 20 or more at a time. I buy cheese in 5 pound bricks, Mozzarella and 2 pound chunks of 2 year old Parmigiano Regianno. I buy cut leaf spinach in number 10 cans too. I buy many other items there but those mentioned above I buy often. Monthly for the cheese, and every time I get down to 10 cans of tomato sauce and paste. Of course most of you folks enjoy more varied diets than I and so purchases like these may be impractical but there are many ways to save as Sam's. I suggest you go with someone already a member to check out the entire warehouse before joining. I tend to buy big because I am limited in the availability of a ride so when I buy laundry detergent I get the industrial size that lasts a year and a half or more. Things like that are of great advantage to me. Train

We do Sams, and our first visit we saved more than the cost of the card at the pharmacy. We cook from scratch so the fact that they don't have name brands does not matter. We usually get spinach, lettuce, onions, whole chickens, pork loins, pork shoulders, potatoes, onions, bell peppers, potatoes, berries (fresh and frozen), bananas, apples, canned diced tomatoes, cheese, milk, eggs, olive oil, Flower, sugar, honey, nuts, yeast, and coffee. Not all at the same time but 90% of what we buy there is on the list.

We do like Sam's for the things they carry that the Cost** store doesn't carry like: large bus boxes (which is what I use to start seeds in), 3 pk. aprons, 18" large plastic wrap, lots of other restaurant supplies, Mystic Chai (yummy), flavored liquid coffee creamers in individual pkgs.
We also love their pork loins (about 9 lbs.) that cost ~$20 each and we divide this into 3 parts and freeze the other two.
After Christmas, they sell their Christmas stuff on sale for a few weeks, while the Cost** store sends them back to other places to sell (don't know where).
