First let me say, no one ever trained kittens into living sculpture. This web site was I believe an "April Fools" of 2001. So now years later it don't even have the virtue of being a new joke. Still the ire it inflames has entertained MIT graduate students for the past decade. This is only a snippet of the original page. Enjoy! www.ding.net/bonsaikitten/index.html

Way back many years ago , I knew a Chinese girl American born and raised by parents also born in US. but the paternal Grandmother was raised in China and came to US when she was 16. Her feet had been bound, when she was still a baby ,,, to the extent that she could just barely walk for very short distances . I never saw them unwrapped with the white cloths and with those tiny little silk shoes but according to May, her Grannies feet had been broken then formed by the binding, her toes were down against her insteps . Out of curiosity right after we bought our first computer I researched foot binding and the pics and descriptions were horrible to read and see.
