Ok so I'm not a flower expert in the least bit. I have some basic knowledge and need a little advise on Tulips.
I bought some tulip bulbs for near nothing this fall. And they're pretty, I hope. I didnt have time to plant them this fall for a number of reasons. The snow and ice are to much right now for me to do any thing with the bulbs until spring.
I have the bulbs in my entry and I dont heat it. Its been cold in there for several months. Here is my question- Can I spring plant the Tulips really really really early and potentially have flowers? Or do I need to wait until the fall?
they've had their cold- period but not in dirt to get any kind of roots going. I have a thought- can I plant the bulbs in pots a certain amount of time before spring comes and plant them in the ground then?
Help- I want to really plant these.

You could try to force some of them in a pot and see how they do.

In my experience you can plant fall bulbs in the spring with no problems, especially if they have been kept chilled beforehand. You will want to get them in just as soon as the ground is dry enough though.
You might or might not get blooms this year. I would guess that if they are late bloomers you would have a better chance of it. Next spring though you should get a grand lot of blooms.
