Gulf said this thread was gonna appear. lets see if I can add fuel to the fury.
Gulf, is it possible to get Waldo to an obedience class? I'm thinking the socialization for the both of you might be a good thing.

I'll check on it next week, after pay day. Allstate decided to hike my car and house insurance $500 or so 3 weeks before it was due, then Waldo's registration was a little pricey also.

Hm I haven't had a puppy in-house since the middle seventies.
Now I'm not at all sure I would outlive a fresh one.
Oh well pick everything up off the floor where Waldo can (get at it to) chew on it, and just love his wiggly self.

Waldo's wiggly self is possessed by Beelzebub! It has an evening of growling, toe biting, wrist gnashing, pants anchoring. I expect his head to start spinning in a circle while spitting pea soup. I told him that I was going to neuter him with pruning shears.

Well after sleeping all day while I was earning the fancy puppy chow, he decided that this afternoon was play time. We had wind sprints, wrestling, lift and toss the puppy, and a very little fetch.

Usually you pitch the ball to the puppy, not the other way round.

We're at my parents for the weekend. Waldo the Wailer gave us a half hour concert last night then went to sleep till 5 a.m. He's preemptively caged right now because he hasn't fertilized the grass yet today.

The seedling In Chief has a six month old standard-bred and lab cross bitch. I'm tellin' ya' this dog is the perfect shadow of her human. As the boy jumps about and flails his arms, so goes the puppy.
I love them both, but an old man is having a real battle keepin' up...

My latest names for him are Kitchen Krapper and Den Dumper. Then I come home for lunch and he has done neither today.

He had done neither because he no longer had food in his system. He was diagnosed with parvo today.

Completely recovered from parvo, legs twice as long, and(fingers crossed) house trained.

Waldo can reach up on counters now. This week he found a silver Navaho bracelet that I hadn't seen in two years. I guess that makes up for tearing a whole in a brand new silk shirt the first time that I wore it. Who knows, maybe somebody will even read this.

He is now over 54 pounds and become quite the digger, in all previous garden beds that is.

I just saw this thread for the first time (not sure how I missed it before). Sounds like you have your hands full with Waldo! I'm sure you love him all the same.
Were you ever able to take him to an obedience class?

Good for your both.
Years ago my sister and her husband got a pair of mastiff pups. She insisted on obedience school, because she was not about to have dogs that size (150lbs +) that didn't behave. Although she had had dogs all her life, she said she learned quite a bit, and so did the dogs. I was always impressed that those dogs obeyed her instantly the rest of their lives - there was no question about who was the alpha in that pack.

Waldo at reform school. It's working but it costs me a lot of treats.

Waldo waiting for his second lesson at reform school. It's working but it's also costing a lot of treats.

Ah, he is young and skinny - he will burn off those treats. Though I guess that won't help the hole in your wallet! But getting him trained is going to be worth it in the long run, I am sure.

Waldo broke into the computer room/smallest bedroom this past weekend. That computer desk that he like to sleep under? He collapsed it. Now the iMac has a crack right in the middle of the screen. It still works though. What do Boxers have against Apple products?Trudy drowned my first iPod. The settles it, since he tried to play "Leap Frog" with both of the females in his training class he has a special appointment in about 4 or 4 weeks,
