Well I see a lot of vines, blooms and weeds. When I see a lot of buff colored squash? Well it'll be time for a moonlight stroll....with a wheel barrow!

I see some crooknecked types and a round one or two. Keep on growing Redperson. Looks promising.

PA Dutch Crookneck is thick. Lots of seed in the bulb but the neck is all flesh. Enjoy it.

I've got 5 mdp ripening at probably 8-20 pounds each. Frost damaged our vining plants this morning, though the okra, tomatoes, & peppers oddly escaped.

Frost on Thursday took out my main garden however, a single Scarlet Runner Bean continues to wind it's way up the front porch.
Funny how that works. Good luck harvesting your peppers before the frost does get them, DS

Picked 8 pumpkins of varying sizes today. Summer garden is no more. I've got some broccoli and cauliflower in pots now, they didn't care that we had frost, also some large radishes. BTW, tomatillos taste awful after they've seen a freeze, even the same day. I thought maybe the husks protected them a bit, but... The interesting thing is that the killing frost came on the same day as last year-- the night of November 3-4. I bet that won't happen again for a long time. Good luck, zone 9!
