Okay- I coupon all the time and I also do freeby stuff or free samples too. The best place for finding the best info on free samples or the best coupon is called Mojo Savings-I have got in on (since I found it via another online friend) a free 360 swiffer-a whole bottle of Aussie conditioner a whole free bottle of Herbal essence conditioner. and many coupons for free or half off. I'd get more but my printer is out of ink!

Any company that can afford to print coupons, can save you more by just lowering the price ALL THE TIME. Don't do gimmicks.

For those of us who are coupon users, there is a wonderful website www.southernsavers.com that takes the ad and pairs it with coupons and even tells you where you can find the coupon. I've started using this and have begun saving!

Okay I got some deals this weekend but I think that the sale may be over but I learned something so cool I have to share. I went into walgreens to pick up a bottle of excederian that I got a "free full sized bottle" of but only for 24pills. Walgreens is the only one that keeps that size in stock. only to find that they had a sale on the Ricola cough drops. $1.79 a bag.. well our coupon flyer last weekend has a BOGO coupon(buy one get one free) so I went right back in after checking out my big folder and sure nuff I got 4 bags of cough drops for the price of two.. but here it gets better.. they also had a weekend coupon in their flyer for the bags to be only $1.29 each.. so I got 4 bags of them for $2.80(you do have to pay tax on the ones that are free).. they are normally about $2.89 to $2.99 a bag. Whoo hoo.. but the best part.. when I was so happy to get such a deal the lady behind the register asked where I got the first coupon.. I told her about mojo savings and she told me about a customer based blog about Walgreens called Wildforwags.com.. it tells you how to combine the ads, coupons and their flyer coupons(which are in a booklet by the door in every walgreens) and how to make th most of your trip there. It pays to research! and to gloat about where your coupons come from.. lol

I love walgreens , I am on two zyrtec a day, my ins. will only pay for 1 zyrtec a day so I have to sometimes buy some. Walgreens will have a buy one get one free, for 30 pills .... that makes it so much cheaper. I did get a coupon one time also and got buy one get one free plus a buck off one time ! It rocked!!! My only problem with Walgreens is... They don't sell noodles. I went in one time and asked and the kid acted as if he didn't know what noodles were... I said you know bag O noodles ... egg noodles, elbow mac..... all he said they had was Ramon noodles lol ... omg too funny!

I like couponmom.com for an overview of all the deals and coupons out there. It lists deals by state and by store. It's free, too. The only thing it can't prepare you for is unadvertised deals like manager specials.
I live in a shopping mecca. THere are three Targets, soon to be three Wallyworlds and everything else trying to make a buck so I have noticed that there are significant differences in clearances and markdowns between stores. Thursday seems to be a good day to hit Targets for clearances.

Our grocery store does not like coupons, and they make it obvious they don't like extreme couponers - which I can understand, in a way.
I use coupons for the stuff I normally use, but don't have the patience to collect a bunch of them, wait in line, etc. I do buy a lot of store brands, so that does save some.

To save a buck on meats, I check the 'Reduced for Quick Sale' bin inthe meat section EVERY time I go to the local grocery store if I stop in for even ONE thing. I often find meat reduced to bargain prices, buy it, and cook it that night for dinner, or freeze it for another night.
Also, my husband knows a man who has some dairy cattle. When one broke a leg and had to be put down, he had it processed into ground beef--my husband and I were able to buy a couple hundred pounds of ground beef from him for little more than the cost of processing. Not only was it cheaper than anything we could buy elsewhere, since dairy cattle have little fat, the meat was very low fat and is a dream for healthy cooking.

We try to buy our meat like that, too. What is close to expiration date is still good if prepared soon.
We use some coupons and buy some things in bulk, so that helps too.
Does anyone shop at Alice.com??? I guess that would work if you're far from town; or went in with neighbors to cover shipping. Sure would make it easier for those of us who despise shopping, tho. ;D

We shop at a store called Save A Lot. They have some pretty good prices. They have soon-to-expire meat on sale there too. Usually small packages just about the right size for hubs and I. Today we got Welch's grape juice in the 64 ounce cartons with today's expiration date on them for 50 cents each. We drink a lot of juice so that was a steal for us.
