dirt,
great thread !
that buck your friend harvested sure is purty.
those game cams sure make a nice hobby and capture many moments that a man with a cam don't often realize.
game often seem to just plain ignore the clicking and flash. twice i've had bears take a swipe at my cams. no place to hang 1 once so i set it up on a fallen trees root system on a bear trail. got a pic head on and the next flash i suppose the bear swatted it and i found it about 40 foot away. occasionally they bump into them.
thanks for posting your pics.

Thank you very much Capebuff.
I am seriously looking into a Bushnell HD Max black led flash cam that is invisable to man and animal to add to my game cams collection which only is a I45S game cam lol. We look forward to going around and collect the pictures each weekend to see what we missed while away working. We have several hundreds of pictures from deer, hogs, foxes to bobcats and coyotes we would have never seen.
My buddies buck was very nice he is having it mounted.
We seem to have two very prominant bucks breeding one creates long short horns the other makes very tall horns. I think in the few pictures I have posted both are visible.

Wow, you certainly have been blessed with a great bounty! Yes we have and a ton of fun as well. Everytime we go there always seems to be some kind of work to do but in a few more years maybe we can just go and relax.

Another hog bit the dust made the mistake of going in the hog trap this week. He was to big to eat but one more gone from running off our deer and tearing up our land.
Saw some bucks in velvet in the game cam pics pretty neat and does ready to fawn any day hope to see the babies eating the high content protein we are feeding right now to help them start there life. My friend calculated we have put 3500 pounds of feed out the last two months to help the deer as we can not hunt again till October. This is all for them to make them fat and happy. We drop apples everytime we go.

We were visiting with some friends who were camping at Lake Of Pines , Sitting talking when out of the nearby woods strolled a doe she watched us a few moments then crossed the road near the us and walked toward the lake--we figured she was going for a drink when she stopped about a 100 yards from us and was we thought grazing on some bushes ---then suddenly we saw her fawn laying there in the bushes she got it up and then led it off toward the woods ---tiny little thing looked to be maybe a foot tall. Friend tried to catch a pic on her camera but pic turned out blurry.

I have a tree rat that is ravaging the wires on my solar chargers that are running the hog light battery and feeder battery. It has eaten through them not once but now 3 times. This sucker is going down. We even added a plastic wire coil cover thing that is now destroyed and laying on the ground.

Well I made an investment I should not have but it was something I wanted after all the years of the wives medical struggles that buried me in bills but I wanted a Travel trailer that could serve as a house or hunting get away. I don't make alot of money each week anymore I used to but I survive. I managed to buy a 2009 29 foot trailer today am a very proud new owner my old1998 truck will be upgraded electric brakes anti sway 1000 pound weight distribution hitch I have been researching these a long time. It has a 42 inch slide out which is the couch and table. If I fall ill I can easaly put this in a mobile home park live like a normal person and live on SS benefits. Now I have to wait to build up the funds for a generator to run the ac and lights that will take a few months but I will overcome.

The trailer is up and ready slept in it last night grandson son in law me all comfy actually got cold but by 12 we left to hot lol home in my AC house right now till I can spring for the generator. Out in the middle of no where Trailers everywhere I could not find a store that had a three prong twist adator the rv plug would go in to fit the generator my friend has I could use today. 70 something miles countless stops no don't have one. Here in the city I can walk in almost any store and buy one go figure. Guess in the city most want to be in the country in they country they dont need that stuff.

Well a Buck and a doe added to the meat pile for the lease. A two for one bullet hog shot by my son in law netted a 275 pound boar and a 185 pound sow. I believe we have now shot 43 hogs in a year and a half.

Was down at lease moved my feeder and stuff relocated. Was up at 3 am driving around saw a hog under feeder he was not scared the least of me my truck lights on radio on 100 yards away. drove off after watching him came back by hour later still there. He got scared when I shot missed hard to shoot across hood of running truck in dark with 30 mile an hour cross wind. Yeah I missed about a 200 pound boar.
