;D In the spirit of the thread......
A revenue agent, so an old story goes, encountered a boy at the door of a mountainside shack.
“Is your father around, sonny?”
“Nope. Pap’s up thar makin’.”
“Makin’?”
“You know—’shine.”
“Up where, did you say?”
“Yander,” pointing toward the steep hillside.
“Is your mother at home?”
“Ma’s up thar, too, helping pappy.”
“Sonny,” said the officer, “could you use fifty cents? All you have to do is to take me up there where I can talk to your father and mother.”
Silently the boy held out his hand.
“No, no,” the government man objected. “Not now, but later—after we get back.”
“I’ll take the money now,” said the boy. “You ain’t coming back.”

Well, how's this? I was out of space on my mini-greenhouse, but needed more room under the grow lights to start other stuff, so I built this out of old 2X4's, fence boards and chicken wire. I built the "shelf" far to one end of the uprights, so that later I can flip it, do some modifications and have a rabbit hutch. In its current life I can put a tarp over it and add a light bulb if cold threatens.

Now why would you want to go and do that? (remove the foot) How's this for a redneck wheel barrow? A tote bin on a total trolley (one of those little fold-up step ladders with 4 little wheels on one side)?

That'll work ML! Oh, I don't use it as a stepladder, it's too old and been outside in the sun too much. I'd be afraid the plastic steps would shatter. The grounds a mite softer than the flooring in the house, but not that much softer.

Well I had been throwin leaves grass and such in my Crafstman tow dump cart last year. I had some left over sand in it. Raised steel bed mini composter on wheels. Well one day I had some tators that had seeded so I dumped em under the dirt. Next thing I know I had tator plants growing in this black metal thing. I actually had some small eatable tators. But what makes it redneck is the wheels had come off the rims from sitting so like an old car just sitting in the grass with tators growing out of it. Think it is like 4x3x 20 inch trailer to go behind the riding mower. Dang reminds me need to fix wheels add to to do list.

TX, I had one just like it on the farm except mine had two shelves out of plywood They weren't permanently affixed. Paintman knotched them so they stayed in place without having to screw them to the main framework. I chained a 2 bulb fluorescent shoplight (plug in kind) on the ends and grew lots of seedlings on it. Once the weather warmed up, it moved outside against the backporch. If it got a little chilly at night, I threw some 6mil plastic over top and tucked it in. May have looked crude but it made a dandy seedling shelf out of recycled lumber. Nothing wrong with that.

HHAHHAHAHAHAA You not gonna believe this but in California back in the mid 60s was a polka dot house with a couple toilets sitting in front yard complete with their seats up and the water closet thingy on back with petunias planted in the pot and the water closets had petunies and a tall spikey yucca ! I didn't see it but friends said there was a bath tub out in the back yard that was a fish pond with water lillies . The owners had remodeled their baths and the trash service would not pick up the old fixtures so the owners recycled them!!! It was near some friends of mine --- I thot it was cute ---they just shook their heads .
The houses on either side of the polka dot house were eye sores , windows panes broke, had cardboard taped into the empty spaces --- yards full of junk and trash--- never any yard maintence or care so really the polka dot house looked better than those other 2.
and nope it would not bother me!

California...in the 60's...yup, I can believe that!!! ;D I wouldn't mind that so much, either. As you say, better than places sitting uncared for and neglected, for sure. The toilets; well....different lawn ornament, fer sure. But if it's not in my yard, what the heck. I've seen old wringer washers made into flowerpots, too.

You would have loved it-- pale pink with purple polka dots--- trim moulding was lavender with hot pink tiny dots! The petunias were pinks and purples pottys were plain ole white.

Good ole boy got his self a job at the airport , cleaning airplanes , he came in early one morning to clean the plane and saw a book "How to fly an aero plane for dummies. Part I" on pilot's seat. He always had wanted to learn how to fly soooo
he opened the book and started reading, "First Press the green button on right to start the engine." Well he did and the engine started. He flipped to page 2 and it read Press purple button to start airplane moving on runway."
He did and airplane started moving and catching up the speed. He went to third page and it read, press the red button to take off ."
He did and plane was flying. He started turning the pilot's wheel and plane started circling, going up and down and was having lots of fun. He decided before any one knows, to land the plane, go home and brag to his girlfriend.
He went to next page and it read in red "To land the plane successfully go to the nearby wall mart store and buy Part II for dummies."

A US special agent pulled up to a ranch house in Texas and talked with an older rancher.
He told the rancher, “I need to search your ranch for an escaped fugitive we believe to be in the area.” The rancher said, “Okay no problem, but don’t go in that field over there…..”, as he pointed out the field.
The agent verbally exploded saying, “Sir, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me!” Reaching into his coat pocket, the arrogant officer removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher. “See this badge?!
This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish…. On any land !! No questions asked or answers given!! Have I made myself clear……do you understand ?!!”
The rancher nodded politely, apologized, and went about his chores as the agent headed straight out to the field.
A short time later, the rancher heard a loud scream coming from the direction of the field. He looked up and saw the agent running for his life, being chased by the rancher’s big Texan longhorn Bull… With every step the bull was gaining ground on the agent, and it seemed likely that he’d sure enough get gored before he reached safety.
The officer was clearly terrified. The rancher threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs…..
“YOUR BADGE, show him your f..... BADGE ! !”
