It sounds like you've made a lovely spot for Trudy's resting place.

I know what you mean. My cat Valerie has been gone for years now, and sometimes I still half-expect to see her around the house, imagine that I hear her meow, or wake up in the night and sleepily wonder why she isn't curled up with me. Those sorts of things don't happen nearly as much now as they did the first few months after she passed, but I do still miss her.

I'm number 5 on the list for a boxer pup to be whelped April 6th. The website is honeyspunboxers.com . The sire is Big Chief and the dame is Lucy, pictures of them and their last litter a year ago are on the website.

Actually the fact that her other female is a white boxer is throwing up huge red flags. I wouldn't be getting one of the pups from the white female but it reveals a certain disregard for breeding standards. I'm not saying no but I requested copies of the parents vet health screenings.

Are white boxers not allowed by the breed standards? Or are there some bad traits that are gene-linked to white color?

White boxers carry a 20% chance of deafness as well as a higher risk for cancers. Plus they are not allowed to breed by breed standards.
Okay now I'm saying no. There are to many differences between what it says on her website and what she told me over the phone.

I found a new breeder. I drove 245 miles one way and looked at the breeding pairs and facility. I then put down a deposit on a future puppy(the pair won't even breed till next month). That means nearly Labor Day before I can go pick one up though I can choose 4 weeks earlier.

That's a long wait, but worth it to ensure that you get a healthy pup whose companionship you can enjoy for many years.

I think if I brought a boxer home, Kringle would swell up Past the point of no return and turn himself inside out.
Hmmmm,
Naw, not yet.

Okay I switched my deposit to a female who is actually going to give birth this month. The other female must be in menopause. Kringle would love it at the breeder's house, 8 full grown boxers who love to play.

Kringle would love it at the breeder's house, 8 full grown boxers who love to play. Kringle' reluctance to play (even dominance games) is compounded my Sapling & Seedling-In-Chief' standard breed & retriever bitch. Luna (aka wiggles) is the cutest midsize pup. Who acts perpetually over-caffinated. Luna lives with cats and cannot lay off saying "hi" to kringle. Even though he heartily wished she would (lay off)... A dog with the temperment to bite and take ahold of a protesting cat. Catastrophy! Calamity!

My next boxer is supposed to be born the 4th week of June. That means picking him up just before Labor Day Weekend. That will be a lot of driving.

Where's Wondering Wondering Waldo is picked out and confirmed with the breeder. He is a flashy reverse brindle with a white half collar, white feet, and white on his muzzle. He looks just like his mama. He also looks like the largest one. The breeder swears that his mama and his pop are both calm dogs. Calm is relative for a boxer pup though.

All puppies before their eyes open look a little bit like guinie pigs. Fast is as fast does. I'll grant you Garrets infectuous enthusiasm helped liven this board up. Just cause garrets not playing this week, must we all take our lunch-boxes and go home?
