Well, Red, I guess you have surpassed me in the bag count! It is amazing that you have two leaf seasons!

He prolly doesn't have two, Kay. It would be my guess that these are leaves left over from last fall that folks just hadn't got around to bagging until spring arrived. Or perhaps they used them for mulch in that harsh Texas winter. Reddies doing a fine job of helping others clean up.

Actually, we do have 2 distinct leaf fall seasons around here. When cold weather finally arrives - typically December-February and then again different types of oak start dropping when the warmer weather arrives and settles in. Usually around April-May.
Gives us something to do and keeps us out of trouble dontcha know.

Laid out six wheel barrows of grass clippings. Just about all the mater babies and three quarters of the planted corn (seed) now has a skin of grass clippings to keep weeds down and a taste of ferts.

Two more inches of rain last noct (by the measure of a handy busket). Its a foggy morning and the whole yard squiches.
Once the sun comes out and everything is merely wet, I should plant out eggplant & paprika through the new mulch.
