Well its not morning, but I finished off watering by hose. Awaiting Issac or Ishmæl or what ever the hurricane flooding New Orleans gets up into the mid west. we're still about four inches light on rain.
The storm is welcome to hike up its skirts and sprint my way.

Most of the midwest wants some of what poor Nawleans is being soaked with.
I'm sure they wouldn't mind sharing.

Good morning,
I'll have to be off to wisteria before lunch. Still hoping some rain comes out of Isaac.
For now I'll have to try to make up the lack with a garden hose.

Burn trash is out on the curb, for pick-up to the co-generation plant. Today would also be our recycling pick-up day, but I don't have enough to feel the need to take it out to the curb. Hand watered the rose bush. Started hand watering the bonsai. I gotta dig out dirt to set out germination pans for mullberry and paw paw.
I should take the dregs of Deuce Di Picardie for seed. I need to finish chopping up the downed Cow Tit, and scavenging green (toms) in hopes some ripen.
I dumped the grave-gravy from my slops barrel yesterday into the compost bin.

Hey hey all! sounds like ya been busy werking and doin!!!
yep jobs can be hard to come by. Talked to a friend the other day--- the company he worked for was bought out---then he and others got cannned --- he was with out work for 5 or 6 weeks before finding a job. Not bad considering todays job market but for him was an eye opener---never went more than a day or 2 before finding a job-- with his training. Said some of his former work mates are still looking. And yet my son is a shop manager and he cannot find GOOD help, has one now he's training or rather trying to train, but the guy can't seem to get a grip ..

Somebody abandoned a white kitten near here. She was starving and cold, meowing to be let in.
Fed her up today, and will see if one of the gay boys at the current wisteria festival is willing to adopt a kitten tomorrow.

AAAWWWW well kudos to you and a big stick for who ever dropped her! Thats one thing that really ticks me off. I live out on a road in da boonies and people drop their unwanted pets quite often. Youngest just "adopted"" a pup bout 7 or 8 months old , it was dropped last week and took up residence at his house with his other dog. Prettiest male pup , and been neutered -- now why would someone go to that trouble then throw it away He carried in to the vet to have it checked over last week.

I look for bonsai sites. I'm not terribly dilligent about it, but I'se got a full sized crop of hot air, and like talking about gardening stuff in general and bonsai stuff in particular.
Any way I ran across the Bonsai Site, I thought it looked pretty good, so I joined up.
It has chosen to need new subscribers to post a couple times and the moderator to actually read those posts before giving up full membership. (I actually aprove of this)
Well yesterday I was informed that italics or bold or struckthrough text were strictly forbidden.
I will cheefuly grant that its somebody elses ball and bat, and they can make up the rules. I have to confess, I know I'll never remember such rules. I opted to unsubscribe. *sigh*

Spooky the fuff little ghost, was the provinance for Spooky the kitten.
The weather front rolled through a litte bit ago. By the third thunder directly overhead, I wuz awake.
My one lung compost bin is near to its autumnal filled up. I juiced it up with all the kitchen scraps from BTW, about 60 gallons.
Them slops have simmered down to about 30 gallons of grave gravy. I added it to about 100 odd gallons of brush and spent tomato vines.
This mornings rain should get some hot going on in the pile.
I have a batch of cows tit tomato seed fermenting. Looks like Robin will get another batch of seeds.

Good morning, Its bed-time for the garden. A winter-time front is supposedly less than 48 hours away. The last of my spent tomato needs to go to the compost bin.
My next round of manure, mulch, and digging needs to speed up.

Today is as close to as I will admit to being my birfday.
In order to stay as far away as I can get to having birfdays (which at my age are too much like dress rehersals for a funeral) I've roasted a pork shoulder in a slow oven, made cole slaw, potato & egg salad, brioche buns to stuff pig into, an apple pie, and some rasin bread for breakfast tomorrow.
